My quilting highlights of the last week: 1. The maple leaf quilt is mostly pieced together. I laid it out on the only space large enough in my house - the living room floor. I pushed all of the furniture off to the side, and we had to detour through the house for a few days. That drove everyone crazy until I got the quilt pieced together enough to pick it up and move it. Now I have to figure out what to put in the open side triangles. I have an idea, we'll see if it works...
2. Thanks to the Blackstone Heritage Valley Quilt Guild in Whitinsville, MA for letting me do an impromptu trunk show on Wednesday night. Their scheduled speaker was ill and called me Wednesday morning asking me to fill in. Luckily I did not have any time to make myself nervous, and the ladies were very welcoming!
3. Today my brother, sister-in-law, and I hung my quilts at the Hosmer Gallery in Northampton, MA. They will be up until December 29.
Really I just let my brother do all of the work.
