For the next few weeks I will be posting a quilt a day, of quilts that were made by one of my family members. You can read more about the Family Quilts Series, here.
I believe this is the last "wedding quilt" in the collection. My mom bought an old double wedding ring top at an antique shop. Where each of the rings came together, there were 8 piece squares made up of bubble gum pink and purple fabrics. Besides the fact that she did not like the colors, the quilt did not lie flat at all. Each of those centers poked up. Mom ended up replacing those pieces, quilting the top and giving it to my brother and sister-in-law for their wedding.
The 8 triangle square below is one of the sections that was replaced.
