Quilt Festival 2016

I just returned from my favorite annual event, the International Quilt Festival in Houston, TX. It is a great time to see old and new friends, and to be inspired and awed by the creativity and talent of the quilting community. I had two quilts in the judged show - the egg quilt, formally known as "Twelve Dozen" and "Colorfall" which received an Honorable Mention in the Art-Abstract Small category.

There were something like 1300 quilt on display, and I know I didn't see all of them, but I tried! In no particular order or reason are several of the quilts that caught my eye while I walked the floor. Enjoy!
